Family at Commencement

Grad Finale

Kick off your commencement weekend with a celebration in honor of our graduates!

Friday, May 9, 2025
3-6  pm

This family-friendly, come-and-go event is free to attend, and we encourage graduates and guests to dress in business attire.  

At the celebration, you can:

  • Connect with other graduates, faculty, and staff
  • Visit with university booths to receive career advice, purchase APUS swag, connect with many of our student organizations, and more
  • Meet the Mascots
  • Enjoy light carnival fare
  • Hit the dance floor or enjoy the networking lounge

Saturday, May 10, 2025

8:30 – 9:30 a.m. – Ceremony Check-In
Graduates must have a photo ID at check-in.

9 – 10 a.m. – Guest Seating
Seating is first come, first served. Handicap seating will be available. Ceremony doors will close briefly at 10 a.m. for the procession of graduates. All guests arriving after this time will be seated after the processional and invocation.

10 a.m. – 12 p.m. – School of Arts, Humanities & Education and Wallace E. Boston School of Business Ceremony
Ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. sharp. All guests should be seated at this time. Doors will be closed for the invocation.

1:30 – 2:30 p.m. – Ceremony Check-In
Graduates must have a photo ID at check-in.

2 – 3 p.m. – Guest Seating
Seating is first come, first served. Handicap seating will be available. Ceremony doors will close briefly at 3 p.m. for the procession of graduates. All guests arriving after this time will be seated after the processional and invocation.

3 – 5 p.m. – School of Security & Global Studies; School of Health Sciences; School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math Ceremony
Ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. sharp. All guests should be seated at this time. Doors will be closed for the invocation.
