American Public University System will host their annual commencement celebrations on May 10-11, 2024
American Public University System will host their annual commencement celebrations at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
We are currently in the process of finalizing the specifics regarding the time and date of each ceremony. The formal schedule will be provided alongside the invitation for registration, which is scheduled to be emailed to your mycampus email address in early 2024.
In the event that you are unable to attend the designated time for your ceremony, an option will be available for you to submit a request to participate in an alternative ceremony.
Each ceremony is between one to 2 hours long.  Each ceremony will include a processional, remarks from university staff, individual graduate recognition (walking across the stage), and a recessional.

All graduates are responsible for purchasing and bringing their cap and gown, as well as any additional regalia they choose to wear, to commencement.

Military dress uniform may be worn in lieu of regalia. Regalia should not be worn over military dress uniform.

Please visit our regalia page for more information.
